Saugus, MA.

Iron-works history, Route-1, and a price-per-square-foot that still surprises Boston-area buyers crossing the bridge from Revere.

The town

What we know about it

Saugus is the gateway between metro Boston and the North Shore — the first town off the Route 1 northbound bridge, and one of the most under-the-radar real estate markets in our service area. The Saugus Iron Works (the first integrated ironworks in North America) and the long Route 1 retail spine define the town's visible identity, but the residential neighborhoods tell a different story.

Our work in Saugus is most often first-time buyers from Revere, Chelsea, and East Boston — clients priced out of the city looking for single-family inventory under $700K. The Cliftondale, Lynnhurst, and East Saugus neighborhoods each have their own logic. We've learned to be specific.

For sellers, Saugus rewards realistic pricing and unfussy presentation. The buyer pool is broad but skeptical of overpriced inventory. When a Saugus house is right, it goes fast; when it's not, it sits a long time.

Considering a move?

A conversation about Saugus is the right first step.

Whether the move is in ten weeks or ten years, the same call gets it started — what you’re thinking, what you’re weighing, what would make this work.
